The creators of the award winning film "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" is going into production for their next feature "Probable Cause". Auditions are being held this weekend Saturday June 25 & Sunday June 26th. Production starts on or around July 18, 2011. All talent invited to audition will receive audition time slots...no walk ins will be seen.
Character Breakdowns:
DETECTIVE JOHNNY SUAREZ —Latino male, early to mid 40’sPartner of Stevens, his unorthodox style sometimes clashes with Stevens, but together they get the job done.
ABDUL —African American male. Late 20’s early 30’s, slim build. Muslim. Older brother of Tamikka and Travis. He was born Thomas, but converted to Islam and changed his name. He has a devoted wife, Saleemah, and he feels it is now up to him to protect his family form those that may want to do them harm.
BEAR—African American male. Head of DBD. Menacing, but very attractive. Late 20’sBorn Theodore Kelly, he grew up to become the neighborhood gangster. He and the Jones kids grew apart when Bear decided to live by the "Death Before Dishonor" mantra. In spite of the different paths their lives have taken, Bear has always been a resource for Travis when he needed money and unfortunately this last loan may have cost Travis his life.
JAZZ —Bear’s right hand man. African American, late 20’s.
MA JONES —Mother of Tamika, Abdul, and Trav. God fearing, but spunky.
RYAN —Son of Tamika. About 12 years old
MELISSA—Latina female. Sassy. About 25 years old
JON JON —Early 20’s. Street level dealer
ZEEK -- Early 20’s. Street level dealer
CRAIG —Early 30’s. Very attractive. Banker
