Yes, that is CM Punk above in the basketball shorts. When I first encountered him in Chicago that is what he wrestled in. He finally smartened up and move onto pro gear.
As for his plan of leaving the WWE.....all I can say is remember when he left the ROH for the WWE and how that played out...there you go....
