Synopsis: In the South the line between myth and reality is blurred. Con-man Timothy West will walk this line, staying one step ahead of the local church he steals from and deceives with a fake miracle. With his adopted brother reluctantly at his side, Timothy seems bound to make a clean getaway, unless a certain myth turns out to be real.

Roles available:

Light West, lead, 11-12 years old, 17 scenes.
Light is a thin, innocent looking, African-American boy, who looks up to his older brother. His is inherently softhearted and reluctantly coerced by his older brother to lie to the church family that he loves. The guilt that follows inevitably isolates him from the people that try to embrace him.

Caroline West, supporting, 40's, 4 scenes.
Caroline is Light and Timothy's mother. She seems constantly tired or troubled by something. She is a single mom, trying to balance raising her own kids and taking care of the children in her at-home daycare.

The Pastor, supporting, 50's, 1 scene.
A jovial, accommodating man who might ask a burglar how his work was going, as the man robbed his house. He is also loud, and generally large in body and spirit.
