Casting for Before I Go

Before I Go is a film depicting the circumstances surrounding the social injustices that occurred in a rural town in South Georgia. Guided by the descriptive narrative from the accused’s own personal journals, Before I Go carries us on an intense journey through the eyes of Lester Wild as he comes to a small town searching to erase the mistakes of his past and start a new life. The filmmakers will bring to light one of the most inhuman atrocities of a turbulent era: an innocent man sentenced to death row.

Bill Walker: Mid 30’s-Early 40’s, Caucasian, medium build and height, close-minded and “simple” country man that appears to be a decent human being but really harbors a hateful soul.
Don Micheals: 50’s-Early 60’s, Caucasian, tall, a tad bit overweight, hateful, crass, quick to anger and racist to the core. Strong and offensive language is required for this part.
Caroline Walker: Mid 30’s-Early 40’s, Caucasian, thin, very “mousy” individual, worn down by life, plain appearance, sweet natured and easily intimidated.
Edward Glass: Early 50’s-Mid 60’s, Caucasian, medium build and height, small town “fire and brim” preacher, hateful and racist to the core, rigid and unmoving in his beliefs, very demanding and “preachy”.
