Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins is opening his own independent wrestling promotion, reports PWInsider. Corgan has been a long-time fan of professional wrestling and dabbled in wrestling during a feud with Lou E. Dangerously in the Paul Heyman ECW days. He is being billed as the creative director for the promotion, dubbed Resistance Pro and will make an official announcement at Wizard World Chicago in mid-August regarding plans for the promotion
Smashing Pumpkins recently shot a music video featuring wrestling personalities such as Raven and Cheerleader Melissa.
