Bette Midler, Marisa Tomei and Bailee Madison (the Disney TV show Wizards of Waverly Place, Just Go With It, Don't be Afraid of the Dark) are now on board for the Billy Crystal film Us and Them that started filming in Atlanta at the end of September.
The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which started shooting in Atlanta on September 19th, is slated to finish here on October 7th. The film, starring Kate Hudson, Liev Schreiber and Kiefer Sutherland, and being helmed by Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding, Salaam Bombay, Vanity Fair), is based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Mohsin Hamid.
SNL's Will Forte has been added to the cast of the Ben Stiller/Vince Vaughn sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watch that started shooting Atlanta in late September.
Filming for the Denzel Washington flick Flight has been bumped from late September, and will now begin in the metro Atlanta area October 13th. The shoot is currently slated to wrap here on December 8th.

After spending three years in development, the local indie flick Untouched is prepping for an October shoot in Savannah. It will be the first feature produced by the Savannah-based First City Films. The story centers around a Savannah attorney who must reconcile the darkest event from his past in order to defend a teenager accused of murdering her newborn.
Leah Thompson and Nathan Kress, from Nickelodeon's show iCarly, have been filming the made for TV movie Gamers in the Atlanta area, including the campus of Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, SCAD and on Magnum Street in Atlanta. Produced by David Rosemont, who filmed the TV movie Magic Eye in the Atlanta area earlier this year, Gamers revolves around a student at a top gaming college who becomes entangled in "a web of intrigue." Rumor is that if Gamers receives the necessary ratings, there is a chance it may become a series.
AMC is planning to stretch the second season of The Walking Dead, which rolls out with a 90-minute season opener on October 16th, by saving the final six episodes of the 12-episode season for airing beginning on February 12th. In other dead news...According to hollywoodreporter.com AMC has ordered Talking Dead, a talk show hosted by Chris Hardwick (G4's Web Soup) to air after The Walking Dead. The site says AMC's first live aftershow, will serve as a platform for discussion about The Walking Dead. Hardwick will discuss the series' most recent episode with fans, actors, and producers. The half-hour series will premiere after the encore presentations of the hour-long drama on Sunday, Oct. 16th. Beginning on Friday, Nov. 4th, Talking Dead will air following the show's encores at 11 p.m.
Tyler Perry's House of Payne started shooting in Atlanta on September 29th and will continue through next March. Speaking of the unstoppable Perry, he recently topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid men in entertainment. He reportedly made $130 million from May 2010 to May 2011. In September Perry ventured outside of Atlanta to Cleveland and Detroit to film his titular character role in I, Alex Cross. The movie, based on the James Patterson novel, is being directed by Rob Cohen.
More orders placed for locally filmed TV series... MTV has renewed Teen Wolf, which is filmed in the metro Atlanta area, for a 12-episode second season and according to deadline.com, the rumor is that order may be doubled to 24 episodes. The show, very loosely based on the 1985 movie, was MTV's highest ranking series until it was bumped by Awkward...USA has picked up Necessary Roughness, also filmed in Atlanta – mostly at the EUE Screen Gems studios at Lakewood – for a second season with a 16-episode order... Margaret Cho's Drop Dead Diva, which is filmed mostly on the southside of Atlanta, has been renewed for a fourth season by Lifetime. The cable channel has given the go ahead for 13 more episodes.
The Disney Channel will be filming Until We Meet Again in Georgia through October 28th. Rumor has it that title may change – not many other details for now.
